Cultural Diplomacy Exhibition, Crimea Platform Summit 2021

On August 23, 2021, Kyiv hosted the inaugural Crimea Platform Summit — delegations from 46 countries and international organisations, presidents, prime ministers, foreign ministers. Port of Culture created the exhibition that greeted them.

Ten people who call Crimea home: Jamala, Oleh Sentsov, Father Kliment, Nariman Celal, Akhtem Seitablayev, Sevhil Musaieva and others. Each chose a personal symbol — coffee, lavender, figs. Objects that carry the memory of an occupied land. Photography by Roman Pashkovskyi.

Commissioned by the Ukrainian Institute and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. Port of Culture developed the curatorial concept, conducted interviews with all heroes, managed full logistics, and produced the catalogue.
